In October 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) published an article announcing that there are only 39 psychologists in all of Ghana. That's less than one specialist for 100,000 people. Although there are several organizations creating awareness programs, there is hardly any that actually offers solutions. The mental health FIRSTAID initiative of the organization “BFCA” is a first aid program for mental health. The project goes beyond the discussion of the topic and offers psychological advice by providing a free hotline.This is primarily about first aid and then about advice and referral to support agencies.
