For the Children of Viengkham: An Improved Learning Center with a Future
The project in Laos is being realized with the kind support of the Georg Kraus Foundation. The Viengkham Learning Center, located in the town of the same name about 60 km east of Nong Khiaw, serves as an important educational institution for the local community. It is situated next to an elementary and a preschool with over 200 students who regularly use the center. During a research trip in early 2025, Sebastian visited the learning center and identified the urgent need for support. Despite its importance, the center has been neglected since its construction in 2010 and is in dire need of renovation. Thanks to the funds from the Georg Kraus Foundation, it will be possible to carry out the necessary improvements to create a more conducive and enriching environment for the children. The planned measures include the renovation of the existing infrastructure, including the installation of a new storage room, the laying of floor tiles, the installation of a water connection for the toilets, the renewal of the shelves in the library, electrical repairs and the installation of new fans, as well as a new interior and exterior paint job. In addition, the possibility of concreting the outdoor area will be examined to expand the space for the children. Beyond the structural measures, we will cover the costs for the employment of a new, urgently needed teacher for one year to sustainably improve the quality of education and care for the children. These comprehensive measures will help to optimize the learning conditions, increase the center's capacity and ensure that more children in Viengkham have access to high-quality education and development opportunities.

The Hub Saidek
The project supported "The Hub Saidek" in Bangkok to provide better protection and access to social services for at-risk children. Through renovations and new equipment, the center was optimized to help more children.(grant:10.000 €)
Sustainable livelihood through beekeeping

Love and aid for humans and animals
The 50plus program combines animal welfare with social support for seniors. Rescued dogs are placed with needy seniors, who thus receive a companion. In return, there is monthly support.
